On Saturday 18th September two of our senior Shoebox Fairies took to Wigan's Standishgate to spread the word about our Shoebox Appeal as part of the Wigan Rotary Club Community Day! Armed with sweets, colouring sheets and example boxes Helen and Kelly met with members of the Wigan community to talk about our ongoing projects. Don't they look fab in their T-shirts created by Style It!
The day was a fantastic opportunity for the Fairies to meet other organisations working in the Wigan Borough and to see how we can join our efforts to help combat poverty in the local community. A special thank you to our Mayor and Cllr Yvonne Klieve and Wigan Rotary Club President Santi Nandi from dropping by for a visit!
A big thank you to every who kindly donated baby items into our collection basket and to those of you who helped us raise a fantastic £91.77!
